The Annual Assembly of Grand College was held at Hinckley at 11am on Saturday 8th June 2024. Congratulations are offered to all Kt. Pts. from District 46 who received Honours. The awards made were:-
V. Ill. Kt. Pt. Raymond J. Watt, PGVIP, DDDC, AGDC has decided to move north to Orkney to live near his family. We wish Ray all the best for his relocation. I am pleased to confirm that Ill. Kt. Pt. Morton S. McBurnie, PGIVP is the new Deputy District Director of Ceremonies, who I am sure will do an excellent job. Please congratulate Morton when you see him.
Special congratulations are also offered to the Grand Director of Ceremonies, Toby Pratt, who was made a Grand Cross of the Priestly Orders (GCPO) and becomes a R. Ill. Kt. Pt.
The total sum, as of 15 November 2019, which has been raised for Children's Hospices Across Scotland is an amazing £2,110. This is much more than I had originally dared to hope for and the generosity of all of the Knight Priests, friends and family who have contributed is greatly appreciated.

The District Banner for Scotland East, District No. 46 has been ordered and will be dedicated by Grand College when circumstances permit. It will thereafter be on display at every Tabernacle meeting within the District when the Grand Superintendent is in attendance and also at District meetings. This will be the first District Banner in Scotland.
The Banner takes the same form used for all District Banners within the Order, differing only with the name and number displayed on the lower ribbon. The upper ribbon shows the name of the Order although there is no reference to the Order of Holy Wisdom. The device of each Order, in the familiar vesica piscis, is shown flanking each side of the banner. The lamb is seen adopting the attitude couchant guardant, supporting a pennant with the cross of St. George, the pole of which forms a Latin cross. The lamb, which represents Christ Jesus, the Lamb of God, rests upon St. John’s Book of Revelation, with its seven seals suspended from the pages of the book. The Apocalypse, as the Book of Revelation is also known, is credited to St. John the Divine. Passages from this Book are used and referred to throughout the Ceremony of Reception of a Knight Templar Priest and as part of the opening and closing of a Tabernacle. The background to the banner is of white silk, the sides and bottom of which are decorated with gold fringe. On Saturday 12 October 2019 the District held a very successful Congregation of the Order of Holy Wisdom where 19 new members were admitted (pictured above with the Grand Superintendent). We welcome all of these new members into the fellowship of the Order.
The Ceremony was conducted by District Officers, High Priests and Past High Priests of Scotland East in an exemplary manner and grateful thanks and congratulations are extended to everyone involved. Following the Ceremony, 42 Knight Priests enjoyed each other's company for lunch, after which the customary toasts we heartily given and warmly responded to. An Installed High Priest's Tabernacle is to be formed within District 46. Following a very successful meeting of founder members on 12 October 2019, a request (which has now been approved) was made to Grand College for the Consecration of the New Tabernacle . Sagacity Tabernacle No. 303 will hopefully be Consecrated in spring 2020. The Tabernacle will meet in Linithgow twice a year and will work the Order of Holy Wisdom Ceremony. Installed High Priests who are interested in being Founders should email the Founding Recorder, Ill. Kt. Pt. Ewan Notman, CHW, PGVP, as soon as possible by clicking here.
The funeral for V. Em. Kt. Pt. Alex Russell, Immediate Past High Priest of Forth Valley Tabernacle No. 175, will be held on Monday 29th April at 2.00pm in Brucefield Church, 54 East Main Street, Whitburn, EH47 0RD and then at 3.00pm in West Lothian Crematorium, Starlaw Road, Livingston, EH54 8SF.
